Junior Editor (JE) is India's Largest Newspaper Making Competition which is a pre-designed four-page broadsheet layout. Junior Editor is a unique activity for children that blends the elements of editing, designing, reporting, and creative writing. JE gives you a chance to create your own newspaper by making headlines, crafting stories, and writing editorials. Specific guidelines in the broadsheet will help you through the writing and illustration process.
Junior Editor has clinched the highest honours from multiple distinguished organizations. It has been acknowledged by the 'Guinness World Records' (The Largest Writing Competition), the 'Limca World Record' (The Largest Countrywide Newspaper Making Competition for Children), and the India Book of Records for producing the most hand-made newspapers by children. Junior Editor is available in three editions : Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Bhaskar and Divya Marathi. You have the opportunity to create your own newspaper in either Hindi, English, Gujarati, or Marathi.

Category A - Class 4th, 5th and 6th

Process

Using Software

1) Registration & Payment

You have three options to register yourself and get your activity sheet.
Option - 1 : Online/Website
Fill out the registration form available on the website and make an online payment of Rs. 135 (inclusive of courier charges). Once you have completed the payment, the activity sheet will be delivered to your registered address by courier.

Order Your Copy

Option - 2 : Dainik Bhaskar Office
You can register yourself on the Junior Editor website by making a payment of Rs. 100. Once the payment is completed, you will get a receipt for your booking. Carry this receipt while visiting the Dainik Bhaskar offices in Patna, Raipur, Chandigarh, Ahemadabad, Panipat, Ranchi, Bhopal, Aurangabad, Jalandhar, or Jaipur to collect the activity sheet.
Option - 3 : Collect From School
The JE team is connecting with a few schools in different cities to make the Junior Editor broadsheets available to you. Connect with your school administrator to register for Junior Editor-7 by making a payment of Rs. 100. After registration and payment, you can collect the activity sheet from your school. If your school is not on our list, you can opt for options 1 or 2.

2) Participation & Submission

Once you receive the Junior Editor activity sheet, you have to courier the fully completed sheet to Dainik Bhaskar’s Bhopal office by February 15th for evaluation.

3) Evaluation & Awards

The evaluation of your submitted sheets to discover the state & national-level winners will be done by a jury of distinguished editors, media persons from the TV & print industry, and educationists. A National Award Ceremony will be held in Delhi, and the winners will win prizes worth lakhs and will be awarded by prominent personalities.
